Family Life Ministry
Family is at the heart of God’s plan for the happiness and well-being of His children. The Holy Bible teaches us that God established families from the very beginning. The Bible shows us many examples of powerful families, like Abraham and Sarah. Another example is Joseph and Mary. At God’s Missionary Church, our Family Life Ministry teaches families how to build healthy relationships both at home and in their community through faith, development, and the word of God. Our Family Life Ministry also provides information on healthy living and lifestyles.
Our philosophy for Family Life Ministry at God’s Missionary Church is based on the following tenants:
Prevention
Family life ministry is primarily preventive. The purpose of Family Life Ministry is to equip individuals and their families with relevant biblical truths and healthy family skills to empower them to be successful when dealing with the challenges of family life through faith development.
Therapy
Therapeutic efforts are important components of Family Life Ministry for those experiencing mental or emotional issues, such as depression, abuse, or grief, to name a few. We believe that the prevention of individual and family disruption is the primary goal of therapy.
Marriage
Health
At God’s Missionary Church, we recognize the need to integrate healthy living into every aspect of godly living. The New Testament writers continually blend theology with family life. 3 John 2 states, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers”.
Family Life Ministry at God’s Missionary Church encourages and empowers families through spiritual formation as a primary context. God has always relied on family to be the primary source of faith development in children. Healthy marriages become important for a healthy life.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is very vital in strengthening families in this changing world. Pastoral care involves:

Sustaining families with immediate needs or prolonged difficulties.

Enabling a family’s journey of healing and wholeness.

Supporting the family through the process of reconciliation with God, self, and others.

Offering guidance and recommending resources.
GMC Panther Youth Ministry
Helping raise, teach, and build the young generation for the Kingdom of God. Teaching life lessons that they can apply in church and their community.
